About Suzi McGowan
A native of Buffalo, Suzi joined forces with Righteous Babe Records alongside Scot Fisher and Ani DiFranco, transforming RBR from a kitchen table DIY into a full fledged record company with national distribution and worldwide recognition. She later worked as brand manager for RBR coordinating the company's relocation into the artfully restored historic landmark known as Babeville.
In 2003, Suzi brought her artistic talent and PR experience to Odessa Pictures as art director and supervising producer. Years later Suzi invested in the company solidifying her commitment to the film production industry both nationally and locally.
Suzi has earned screen credits working as as producer, co-producer, art director, field-director and field-producer on feature films, documentaries, broadcast documentaries, promotional and corporate communication video, television commercials and shows including the Rachael Ray Show, Entertainment Tonight (CBS), and programs airing on ION Network, NBC, Animal Planet and The Discovery Channel.
In addition to working on the production of films, documentaries, and television programming, Suzi served has as a judge for the 2009 and 2010 Emmy Awards (Northeast Region, News and Documentary category).
Suzi also worked as co-producer on a major independent feature film that staring Vivica A. Fox. The film, entitled "Queen City" was released in late 2012. Suzi went on to co-produce her next film, a documentary entitled Anatomy of a Riot (Part I) which was completed and released in fall 2014.
Currently Suzi is working on several films, including a film on heroin and opiate addiction in America called Generation H.
