A native of Buffalo, New York, Suzi McGowan in 1990, joined forces with Righteous Babe Records and along side Scot Fisher and Ani DiFranco, she transformed Righteous Babe Records "RBR" from a kitchen table business run out of an apartment into a full fledged record company with national distribution and worldwide recognition. She later worked as as brand manager for RBR and coordinated the companies relocation into the newly rehabilitated space known today as Babeville.
In 2003, Suzi brought her artistic talent and PR experience to Odessa Pictures as art director and supervising producer. Four years later Suzi bought the company solidifying her commitment to the film production industry both nationally and locally.
Suzi has earned screen credits working as as producer, co-producer, Art Director, field-director and field-producer on feature films, several feature documentaries, broadcast documentaries, promotional and corporate communication video, television commercials, and television shows that include the Rachael Ray Show, and programs airing on ION Network, and The Discovery Channel.
In addition to working on the production of films, documentaries, and television programming, Suzi served has as a judge for the 2009 and 2010 Emmy Awards (Northeast Region, News and Documentary category).
Currently, Suzi has just completed work as co-producer with Buffalo filmmaker Peter McGennis on a major independent feature film that was recently filmed in Buffalo starring Vivica A. Fox. The film entitled, Queen City that is starring Vivica A. Fox. is due for release in late 2011.
